We ascend back up onto the Wolds Way and continue west parallel with the A64 and River Derwent valley. To the north we will have views of the North York Moors. At the end of the walk we descend to the village of West Heslerton.

Catch the Coastliner at 08.35 outside York Railway Station or at 08.54 at Stonebow to arrive at Staxton at 10.10 where we start the walk.
We return on the 15.52 Coastliner from West Heslerton to York arriving at 17.04 (Stonebow) and 17.21 (station).
