Overview

We commence our walk heading westwards on the Wayfarer's Walk before effectively turning back on ourselves to cross gallops and descend the eastern flank of Watership Down to cross open fields and reach the Kingsclere - Old Burghclere road.

A short, possibly wet, path brings us to the B3051 road, which we cross and follow for a short distance before turning right into Hollowshot Lane, which brings us to the Park House Stable gallops. Crossing north-south we climb Freemantle Park Down and pass around the wireless station on Cottington's Hill before descending Stubbington Down as we return to the start point.
