We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. We offer a programme of 3 walks each week, from 5 miles to 10 plus.

Starting from Morrison's car park, Gorse Covert, this walk will take you to Dishley Grange and Robert Bakewell's grave, Stonebow washlands, along the disused Charnwood Forest Railway and into Garendon Park with its obelisk and the Temple of Venus and back to Morrison's where those who wish can find refreshments in Maxwell's pub next door.
The walk is level with good paths and points of historical interest. Text me after 15 October if you are concerned about stiles. There are toilets only at Morrisons. Please bring a packed lunch.
