Overview

The walk follows Hadrians Wall Path from Gilsland, passing the ruins of Thirlwall Castle, Walltown Gap to Cawfield Quarry. On route we will stop to visit Roman Army Fort. 
the path goes up and down, giving views across Cumbria and Northumberland. Regular stiles and gates along the walk with some steep slopes and stone steps.
