A pleasant and varied 5 mile walk starting from the car park of The Rams Head in Grappenhall. The walk starts along the Bridgewater Canal towpath to Lumb Brook Road. From there we will follow woodland paths up the Lumb Brook Valley passing through The Dingle and Fords Rough. The route back to Grappenhall village will be along field paths and country lanes and finally through Grappenhall Wood, an area of woodland managed by the Woodland Trust.
There will be an optional pub lunch at The Rams Head, Church Lane, Grappenhall, Warrington, WA4 3EP, after the walk.
