Overview

We leave the Control Tower car park and cross the common to Aldernbridge Gully. After crossing (carefully) the A339 we head to Aldern Bridge and then across fields to Sydmonton Common. After finding our way through Sydmonton Common we reach Bishops Green and then walk alongside the River Enborne to the A339 bridge at Knightsbridge Farm.

After crossing the A339 (again, carefully) we walk up Thornford Road then up Heads Hill to Goldfinch Bottom and onto Crookham Common turning to return to the Control Tower.

The first half of the walk is on firm ground and will avoid all mud (I hope), the second half is muddy in parts with one stile and the third half another bracing stride across firm ground.
