We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This walk explores the gently undulating countryside to the north and west of Longparish. We shall use paths, tracks and quiet country lanes, starting off past St Nicholas Church along a section of the Test Way, passing through the hamlet of Forton and then branching off in a north-westerly direction, before joining The Middleway and following this lane past Middleton Park Farm and along subsequent tracks as far as Tracy's Dell. At this point we head south-east, down into the Test Valley, wending our way back to the car park via Upper Mill and two bridges across the river.
After all the hot dry weather we've been having, conditions underfoot should be straightforward but please be aware of the forecast on the day and wear suitable clothing and footwear. There is one stile towards the end of the walk.
Please bring a drink and a snack for the mid-walk break.

Please park in the Longparish Village Hall overflow car park, whose entrance is off the B3048 opposite the junction with The Middleway, close to the parish church and primary school. Please car share when possible.
