The registration for this walk opens on 14 March, please make sure to include a mobile number when you sign up.
The walk overview: We start the walk from Drumfrochar train station and initially walk on tarmac, past the Overton car park after which we enter Greenock Cut.
The path runs parallel to Greenock/Gourock, following an aqueduct. It then turns south east in a more inland direction and leads to the Greenock Cut Visitor centre where there is seating for a lunch break outdoors and a cafe where refreshments can be bought. There are also toilet facilities there.
Continuing onto Kelly Cut, the terrain is broadly the same but the path is not as well maintained and there are areas with large puddles and very muddy bits so walking boots are a must.
Toilet facilities also available at Wemyss Bay train station.
Meeting time: 8:55 am outside M&S in Glasgow Central Station, we will take the 9.17am train to Wemyss Bay. Purchase a return ticket to Wemyss Bay. We will get off the train at Drumfrochar where the walk starts.
Return train is from Wemyss Bay station.
