Overview

Moderate walk starting from Newland's Corner, gently climbing to Martha's church before descending down past the Chilworth Gunpowder Works, continuing on to Shere for lunch and a final steep climb back to the start. Generally good conditions underfoot including sandy tracks with some muddy sections after rain.  Steep descent from Martha's Hill and ascent towards Newlands corner so poles advised if you use them. 3 stiles on the route.
