Overview

A leisurely spring walk along the Thames and the Wey over countless bridges,past  historic D'Oyly Carte Island, through parts of older Weybridge rarely seen, through green meadows, past houseboats and opulent riverside mansions and back through Shepperton village.

Please bring refreshment and a picnic lunch. However, there is a café and public loos at the start point (Walton Bridge car park) and provided we make reasonable time I intend to stop for lunch at Shepperton Lock, where there are public loos and a café.

Park in Walton Bridge car park (south side of the river just off Walton Lane). It is free and there is plenty of space. Please note several post codes come up for the car park, but the most accurate is KT12 1QP. We will meet outside the Wilde Brunch Café at the east end of the car park. Sometimes members of the party opt for an early breakfast there
