Overview

The walk will take us from Churt Church via local lanes/ footpaths across Hindhead golf course, Then down Beacon Hill crossing Whitmoor Bottom before climbing up to Flat Wood. After our descent we cross a stream having walked through a Bamboo arch way, and continue to return to Churt.

There are a couple of steady climbs and descents of about 600 feet. Only one very low stile. It may be muddy around crossing the small stream so boots and poles recommended.

Refreshments available at The Crossways Inn, about a minutes drive or 5 minutes walk. Alternatively there's The Bell & Dragon (opposite the Sculpture Park) about 4 minutes drive.

Park in front of the church, which is just off A287. Churt can be reached either via A31 from Farnham or A3 from Hindhead. Follow A287 and the church is just before the village from Farnham direction on the left or after the village from Hindhead on the right.
