Join us for a leisurely, scenic walk from Hanwell Station to Ealing Broadway via a number of parks and green spaces and along a short section of the Grand Union Canal. Sights along the route include: the Wharncliffe Viaduct (designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel) and Pitzhanger Manor (the architect John Soane's country home). The walk ends at Ealing Broadway where there are plentiful cafes and opportunity to visit the Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery (entry charge). Note: This is a reverse of the walk route being provided on Sunday 21st January, part of The Round Ealing Circuit (TREC).
The walk is mostly on level pavements and rolled gravel paths, with a small amount of downhill and uphill for the section of the walk alongside the Grand Union Canal. Paths maybe be a bit muddy if wet especially along the Canal towpath.
