Overview

A circular walk to Marlow and back using both sides of the Thames.

Crossing the river to climb Winter Hill then via quiet country lanes and paths through Cookham Dean village and common. Here we enter the extensive 'hanging' Bisham woods before descending steeply to pass under the A404 and make our way into Marlow by crossing the river again over the elegant suspension bridge. Please bring picnic lunch to eat here, toilet and drinks available at nearby cafe. Returning along Thames river path to Bourne End.

Catch the 10:33 Marlow/Bourne End shuttle at Maidenhead. Freedom Pass holders only need buy a return Maidenhead to Bourne End ticket. Beware this is an houly service.

Possible drop out at Marlow station after 6 miles.

No dogs please.
