Overview

An undulating route through woods and arable farmland. We follow a circular route starting and finishing at the Hermitage Village Hall Car Park.

We leave the carpark heading East through the Furze Hill Rec to Little Hungerford, then cross the road and walk through Hermitage woods towards Brockhouse School. The route continues west through Fence Wood, then north to Grimsbury Castle. We then continue northwards through woodland back to Hermitage

There are around 2 stiles on the route, most in good condition.  The going will generally be good, with one area likely to be soft/wet.
