Overview

Meet Jill at Lewes Railway Station on the Forecourt, where the Taxi Ranks are, for a circular an interesting and beautiful walk of Hidden Lewes.

Plenty of Street parking that is free after 5pm and at a local car park in Mountfield Rd. Lewes Station car park is a pay and display car park for 24hours a day

Lavatories at Lewes Railway Station and halfway round the walk. Opportunity to visit a Pub following the walk.

We take a short walk to the Mount which one can climb, or not, to get excellent views of the Ouse Valley toward Newhaven, Mount Caburn and Firle Beacon. We then walk toward The Brooks, the river Ouse, the Railway Land, the Heart of Reeds, the Linklater Pavilion, the site of Lewes Naval Prison and St John’s sub Castro Church graveyard and then we wend our way back to Lewes Railway Station via a few twittens.
