From the starting point, we will walk through some of the Severn Valley Country Park, past Highley Station and join the footpath which runs alongside the River Severn. We will walk along this path for a while; taking in views of the river and Severn Valley Railway, before branching off and heading towards the Wyre Forest. As we walk through a section of the forest we will enter the county of Worcestershire where there will be a pub waiting for our pit stop. Once refreshed, we will head back towards the footpath alongside the river, but taking a different route to rejoin it. Once rejoined, we will then take the same route back to the original starting point.
There are a few stiles to negotiate on this walk, along with some rough ground and protruding tree roots, rocks etc, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear. Water and snacks recommended.
Livestock and horses on route; dogs welcome but must be kept under close control.
