Overview

Our walk today begins gently, following the River Thames towards Remenham.  We then head away from the river into the Berkshire hills with an interesting mixture of woodlands and open fields before returning to Hurley village.

Hurley is a pretty village on the banks of the River Thames.  It's early history includes the Vikings fording the river in AD894 and the founding of a Benedictine priory in 1086.

Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
