We are the Uttlesford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Robert and Christine will lead a morning walk of some six miles from The Red Lion PH at Great Sampford, followed by an (optional) lunch there. The Red Lion is a firm favourite of the Uttlesford Ramblers, noted for its Italian food.
The route will be: Red lion - Bean Pod Farm - Free Roberts - Sorrell's Farm - Field's Farm - Howses - almost to Free Roberts (again) - B1053 - byway, then footpath, back to the pub.
There are no stiles that cannot be avoided. There is some mud on a narrow path towards the end of the walk. Mud on the byways can be avoided.
