Ivybridge, The Erme valley and Western Beacon

Starting from Ivybridge, we walk along the river and under The Great Western Viaduct. We cross quiet countryside and farmland and later over Butterdon Hill and Western Beacon, wonderful viewpoints. ( If windy we can take alternate Two Moors way Path. )

There is a very interesting church at Hartford and wonderful views from Western Beacon. 

Maybe muddy along riverside but can take higher route. one steep hill on road from Hartford Church 

If you have walking poles, bring them.
