Walkers must book in advance with the walk leader
A varied walk in the Clyde Valley visiting the birthplace of William Roy - the father of our Ordnance Survey maps.
Initially following the Clyde Walkway before visiting Major General William Roy’s birthplace and descending to and through Jock’s Gill. We continue along quiet roads before returning to the Clyde Walkway and walking to Crossford. After Crossford we ascend the Nethan Gorge to Craignethan Castle and then return to Rosebank via an old railway and field path.
