We walk below Box Hill to Juniper Bottom and then onto Headley Heath. The Heath is a delightful mosaic of heathland, chalk downland slopes and mixed woodland. We arrive at the small village of Headley where there is a pub, cafe and pleasant churchyard for a lunch stop.
We then make our way to Mickleham Down, an airey slope with great views and descent to the village of MIckleham and return via the woods of the Mole Valley.
With the shortest day approaching our final kilometer or so may be in twlight conditions.
