Overview

Autumn walk in the forest, an opportunity to enjoy the colourful changing season. The walk passes Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, Connaught Water, Ludgate Plane, Hawk Wood and views of London from Obelisk Hill.

The walk returns to Chingford Station via the high street where there are cafes, offering the opportunity for a refreshment break or lunch.

This is a gently paced walk.

Dress suitably for the time of year with walking shoes.

Paths are gravel, apart from one short section that maybe soft underfoot and there are some short hills.
