POP up walk. This is the same walk I will be leading on Saturday 24th May, but in reverse, in the hope that the rhododendrons will still be out at Dunge Valley. Park in layby near the church. Mod/stren, 9.00 miles 1550 ft ascent. Fantastic views. Please note that there are a lot of stiles, some quite tricky. The majority of the walk is moderate with a steep climb to Redmoor. Route: Clough Farm, Dunge Valley, Thursbitch, Redmoor, Saltersford Hall, Fox Hill, Jenkin Chapel, Summer Close, Charles Head, Thorneycroft Farm. Bring food and drink for coffee and lunch stops. Fingers crossed for good weather as the views are fantastic.
