Overview

From Kings Standing Car Park we follow the Vanguard way up through Ashdown Forest to the viewpoint by the AA Milne memorial, then down to Pooh Sticks Bridge and on to Newton's Hill and Hartfield. We will return via the High Weald Landscape Trail and up the Wealdway.

This is an undulating route with some steady climbs and descents. There could be some mud or slippery surfaces after rain, so boots are recommended and pole if you use them. There is a café and pub in Hartfield but please note that time is limited so you are advised to bring a picnic lunch. There may be an ice cream van in the car park at the end.
