We go back and retrace our path then turn left down along a dry stone wall to a gate. Walking through open farm land, mucky in areas and trees might have sheep in the field, till we reach a gate we go through into a small woodland. On the recce there were several fallen trees across the path that we need to maneuver! The path takes us onto Routenburn road, we turn left for the sign Low road Red road to Largs. The minor road approx 2 miles passes Knock Castle and will take us back to Largs and Barr road. Again lovely views to enjoy
