This is a leisurely walk taking in the beauty of the gardens at Dumfries House. We will leave from the car park &, take a stroll through the nearby paths, taking in a couple of doo-cots. We then head down past the cafe to go over the restored Adam Bridge which leads to the water lilly & spout pond. Walking round the pond we then head up through woodland to join the Duchess of Rothesay daffodil avenue which leads up to Temple Gate.
Returning down the avenue we will walk through the Arboretum to the walled garden, which should have lots of spring colour.
Leaving here we take the river path to the Chinese Bridge and head for the Coach house Cafe where we can purchase soup/scones/cakes, coffee, or whatever we fancy!
This is a C walk of 4 miles
