We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This 10 mile undulating walk takes us around the Lambourn Downs. Starting at Woodlands St Marys we head out to Eastbury over Shrags hill then towards Lambourn itself skirting Cleeve wood and Boldstart copse before passing through the site of the medieval village of Bockhampton. From Lambourn we head up and over the downs to Kingswood stud and its Horse walker before making our way back via Dances cottage and Berrys wood. The walk is mainly in the open and there should be some good views when we are up high up on the downs. Please bring food and drink for the day.
We have permission to park at the village hall in Woodlands St Mary
Numbers are unlimited but please book on line at the website link.
Please park carefully in the car park at Woodlands St Mary village and Social hall, from 9:30am we will need to open the gate and close it when we leave. This is by kind permission of the social club
