Overview

A moderate walk to be done at a steady pace, all on good paths and tracks.

Starting from the quarry carpark above White Moss we will go along the terrace to Rydal Caves and then head across open fell to Lily Tarn, which gives lovely views south over Windermere and the Langdale Pikes. We then descend to Clappersgate and walk on quiet lanes before joining the Coffin route and returning to Grasmere.
