A Leisurely walk starting from Arnside. We will take the estuary promenade towards Blackstone Point. To avoid any issues with the high tide we will take the higher path around Arnside Park using initially the good woodland paths, followed by the coastal path to Far Arnside.
The clifftop coastal path is uneven and narrow in places and includes 70-100 feet drops to the estuary. It will be taken single file and would not be suitable for those with a fear of heights. The first two photos illustrate this part of the walk.
We will then visit the remains of the Arnside tower before taking the steady woodland path to the summit of Arnside Knott. The return to Arnside should give us (weather permitting) splendid views of the estuary.
Dogs would need to be kept on a lead
