A linear walk down the river Walkham and up the river Tavy

We will meet at Anderton Lay by and catch the bus to Yelverton Leg o' Mutton. Our walk starts at Leg o' Mutton CP, Yelverton and then on via the cycle track to Horrabridge and over gentle moorland descending to the river Walkham at "Magpie".  Following the river we go to Grenofen Bridge and on to Double Waters where our two Rivers meet. Leaving the river Walkham we make our way up the Tavy for a short distance and then up over West Down returning to our cars at Anderton lay by via Woodtown. 

Some rough riverside paths with exposed tree roots and may be slippery. One long steep up.

Lovely riverside woodland scenery. Please bring refreshments for coffee and lunchtime stops.
