The walk begins in Kingseat we will follow the path to Loch Fitty. This beautiful loch was planned to be drained by the coal board but has been left. It is now a fishing spot and a site for various birds. Not long after walking along the causeway you can see the bings of St Ninian’s site - locally known as the Walnut Whip. On the top is a landscape art project celebrating the mining industry. The walk will then descend down and circle the surrounding area before return back to Kingseat again.
Possible toilet stop before start, Sterling Furniture Shop on Kingseat Road.
Good paths, some areas can be muddy, the ascent up the hill is gentle.
Please bring either a drink and snack/lunch.
