Overview

Train from Ashford to Staines at 08:42. Train from Staines to Richmond at 08:58 arriving Richmond at 09:15, Then Overground to West Hampstead and a short walk to West Hampstead Thameslink for a train to Elstree & Borehamwood arriving at 10:34 and then a bus to the A1 Barnet Way.  This is an 8.5 mile walk From the A1 Barnet Way via Moat Mount Open Space (al fresco coffee stop), the Dollis Brook and Barnet where we will have a Pub/Picnic lunch. There are cafes further on (quote from the book). After Lunch via King George's Fields, Hadley Green, Monken Hadley Green and Beech Hill Lake to Cockfosters station on the Piccadilly line. Return by Underground to either Waterloo or Vauxhall.
