Meet at 10:00 under large clock in main concourse at Liverpool Street Station.
Linear walk starting from Westminster Tube Station (Circle Line Liverpool Street to Westminster) past Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye, Horse Guards Parade, St James's Park, Buckingham Palace into Green Park then across Hyde Park Corner into Hyde Park to see the Serpentine, Diana Memorial, Albert Memorial into Kensington Gardens including the Round Pond, Kensington Palace then exit Park into Ken High Street then into Holland Park. Return to Liverpool Street Station from Holland Park Tube for drink/food at Hamilton Hall Pub (Wetherspoons).
For those driving Gallows Corner will be closed so Newbury Park is out. Upminster is best place for tube system. For those getting the train the 9.02 from Colchester gets into Liverpool Street at 9.47. With Group tickets (in numbers of 3 to 9) there is 30% fare discount and tube tickets can be added at good price.
For those wishing to go, please let walk leader know asap to arrange Group Tickets and reserve place. Numbers may need to be limited.
There are numerous places to buy food and drink en route but it is advised to take some with you - especially water - and a number of 20p coins .
