Overview

Come burn off all those mince pies by climbing the Long Mynd!  Starting from Chrch Stretton, this walk will feature woodland, picturesque valleys and sweeping views of the hills weather permitting.  Tentative route to include Hope Wood, Ashes Hollow, Long Synalds, Yearlet, Devils Mouth and Rectory Wood. May be shortened slightly after recce. Not more than 8 miles. There will be a fair amount of sustained ascent, but we will take our time and go at pace of the group.

Warm layers and walking boots will be essential for this walk.

🐕 Dog’s are welcome but should be kept on a lead due to the presence of ponies and sheep. There are several styles. Please notify the walk leader if you would like to bring your dog.

Please bring a packed lunch. 🥪 

There will be a pub stop afterwards. 🍻
