This is a varied 11 Miles circular route which explores and links up the green spaces on the southern fringes of Glasgow. It includes the best views over the city from Cathkin Braes. The route is way marked by Glasgow Ramblers, we walk along paths in woodland, fields and some pavements, there are also several sets of steps in Linn Park.
The terrain is not difficult to manage and we will take regular breaks on this longer walk
We will start the walk from Netherlee Library carpark which is next to Linn Park, we will have our first break at the sundial in Kingspark and a lunch break in Cathkin Braes , There are several cafes to finish the walk of with a well deserved coffee at the end of the walk.
Good walking shoes/boots are required, walking poles may be useful . When we recced the walk the ground was frozen, depending on weather conditions some parts could be muddy. There are 2 stiles to cross and one very busy road will require great care.
