Overview

This is a great opportunity to explore the Manifold valley. The river (so-called  because of its many meanders, according to some sources) is a tributary of the Dove and rises at Flash Head, south of Buxton. We start from Hulme End and make our way via Ecton, and Wetton Mill along part of the Manifold Way. Notable peaks that hopefully will be visible include Ecton Hill, Wetton Hill and Ossoms Hill.
