A 6.5 mile, moderate to brisk pace walk starting from Pett Level, climbing up along the coast via the Firehills to the Bale House visitor centre. From there we head through Fairlight and across farmland to Pett, before turning for home.
Great Coastal and Countryside views. Fairly hilly at 780ft ascent in total, most of it in the first half. Loo stop and banana break about halfway round.
There are about eight stiles, most without dog gates. There are sheep in all the fields in the second half of the walk.
There will be a little road walking, and the path up to Fairlight is narrow and has gullies in places. I would say this walk would not be described as particularly dog-friendly, and there will probably be lambs in the fields, but if you do decide to bring your dog I'd request that you keep them on a short lead and at the back please.
PLEASE BOOK YOUR PLACE ON THIS WALK AS NUMBERS ARE LIMITED AT 12
