We are the Rother Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Visit 3 lovely churches on Romney Marsh, Ivychurch , St Mary in the Marsh and Newchurch .
A flat and fairly exposed walk, with no shelter , but also no hills . Please check this entry before you leave home , if it is forecast to be raining for any length of time , I will cancel as this walk will not be fun in the rain.
We will walk between the churches , starting on footpaths , but doing much of the route ( 70%) on very quiet lanes (less muddy !). Dogs are welcome but will have to be on leads on roads and also in the fields due to sheep, there are also several stiles that a dog will need to go over . If you want to go in the churches please remove your boots or cover them with bags or boot covers . We will stop for refreshments , so bring a packed lunch and a drink . Walking boots essential , there will be mud!
Meet outside St George Church , Ashford Road , Ivychurch, TN29 0AL Next to the Bell Inn. Park outside the church or in the village hall car park ( priority to hall users if there is an event ) or on the road .
