Leaving Punnett's Town with its views to the South Downs, we'll go east then turn south at Cade Street, pass Old Heathfield church and Vines Cross village before having our lunch at Warbleton church. After lunch we'll have a combination of quiet lanes and footpaths. On a fine day this is a very pretty route across undulating fields and through woodland.
The route as at February 20th was muddy over its entire length (apart from when on lanes!) so, unless we have dry weather between then and the walk date, it is guaranteed to be so. In the event of a wet forecast please check the evening before in case of cancellation.
There are several stiles, all in fair condition and only one where the dog would need to be lifted over.
