Overview

This circular walk follows the open ridges of the more remote Western Pentlands.

Starting at Baddingsgill Farm the walk takes in Faw Mount, Mount Maw, The Mount and East Cairn Hill.

The return walk is on the Thieves' Road, an old cattle droving route. The track finally descends past the west side of Baddinsgill Reservoir and back to the starting point.

Terrain: Grassy ridges over Mount Maw and the earlier half of the walk; much rougher and wetter on the heathery East Cairn Hill.
