Overview

The walk will be mainly through fields with some sections under tree canopy. We will head west, climbing gently along the ancient Cox Lane, turning south after Bartram’s Wood, east at Baker’s End, then north-east back to the start.

There are a few nettles and briars en route so bare legs are not advised.

We will pause for a few minutes, halfway, for people to consume their own refreshments (plus when anyone wants a short break). There are no public toilets, but there is plenty of tree cover.

We will meet in Much Hadham, by the bus shelter, where the top end of Church Lane meets the High Street (not the end near The Bull pub). There is on-road parking nearby.
