Overview

We start by heading west from Harpenden Common across open farmland to the wonderful working watermill at Redbournbury. If it is open we will have the chance to look around the mill and/or buy bread from their bakery. From there we walk along the river Ver to Redbourn where we join the disused railway ‘The Nickey Line’, passing through the Rothamsted Agricultural Research Centre estate and park and back onto the Common in Harpenden.
