A circular walk, starting at Hertingfordbury, entering the park and nature reserves (where we could possibly hear Reed Warblers), venturing out across fields and through woods, just touching the edge of Tewin (where we might see Skylarks on the heath), re-entering the park and finally ambling through riverside meadows.
Note 10:15 start (to fit train times).
We will meet in Hertingfordbury Road by the public footpath sign to Panshanger Park. This is a 23-minute walk from Hertford North Station. There is free parking on the road and in the cul-de-sac (first left, coming from the by-pass).
We will pause for a few minutes, halfway, for people to consume their own refreshments (plus when anyone wants a short break). There are no public toilets, but there is plenty of tree cover, apart from in the meadows section.
