Overview

The walk is mainly on good mountain roads and tracks. It starts from Trelewis, with a steady, easy climb to Mynydd y Capel. There are lovely views along the route, especially that of Aberfan and its cemetery. The area is littered with archaeological features; the easiest one to identify being the site of an ack ack gun. The return is via Treharris.
