Overview

This walk starts in the historic wool town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Leaving the town heading south east we follow a quiet lane to Maugersbury village. We then join the Macmillan Way, heading south west, with extensive views to the south, till we reach the Fosse Way. Crossing the Fosse Way we continue through charming countryside, past paddocks & stables till we reach Hyde Mill. We then follow the Heart of England Way to Lower Swell, for a lunch stop, before entering the Abbotswood Estate. It then runs north, following the River Dikler towards Upper Swell. We then join the Gloucestershire Way to return to Stow -on-the-Wold.
