Overview

A circular walk up Cwm Sychan past the engine house of the British Top Pits and the drained reservoir that fed the British Iron Works. We then follow the top edge of Cwm Tyleri with good views of the Brecon Beacons in fine weather. Descent is into Cwm Ffrwd following the old drovers’ road through Graig-ddu Wood and past the ruined farmhouse which also served as a chapel and illicit pub.
