We are the Pontypool Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We leave the Cwmcarn forest drive visitor centre using the forestry road and ascend through the forest tracing the course of the Nant Carn stream. At the top we reach the ridge of Mynydd Henllys with fine views of the mouth of the river Severn and beyond. Here we join the Cambrian Way to make our way to Twmbarlwm. We then descend to return to the start using well defined and waymarked footpaths.
