Overview

B grade walk because of length 9 miles approx.
From Dalmellington car park on the left as you enter the village we start by crossing road into Craigengillan estate over bridge taking a right along river and then some road walking to Dalcairney Falls.
We then proceed through the estate to the Wooden Fort, pass it onto the moor, climbing a couple of small hills till we come down at the Roundhouse at Loch Doon.
We will then proceed down Ness Glen, giving a different perspective on the Glen?
(We usually go up it) Boots and poles advised as it can be a bit tricky underfoot.
We then take the old Roman road through the estate passing past the top of Bellsbank to Dalmellington and car park.
