Join Mick on this walk in another relatively new are to Coalville Ramblers around Shuttington near Tamworth. The walk takes in Alvecote Nature Reserve, a mixture of Wetlands and Meadows. The tall metal statue of the Leaf Tree and the Coventry Canal are all part of the walk. A large Rape Seed oil field will be encountered which should be in full bloom.

There are toilets and a cafe one hour into the walk.
The walk is described as moderate.
Alvecote Nature reserve is situated inthe flood plain of the river Anker where a large selection of Butterflies and Dragonflies may be seen. Up to 24 varieties of butterfly may be seen along with some nationally scarce Beetles. The area is the largest SSSI in Warwickshire. Large wetland habitats are home to wet grassland, marsh and reed swamp filled with water mint, greater pond sedge and common flea-bane
