Overview

NOTE NEW START TIME

An undulating linear walk over farm tracks, field paths, short sections of rough ground, and short sections of minor road, some short steep inclines.  There is a small burn to cross which can be avoided if the weather is poor.  This walk offers lovely far-reaching views.  There will be cattle on this walk as there were on the recent recce, with no problems encountered. 

Walking boots/shoes and poles recommended.

Drinks and snacks for 2 stops, lunch stop will be later than usual.

Registration deadline.  You should register with the Walk Leader no later than 5pm on (a) the Thursday prior to a Saturday walk, or (b) the Friday prior to a Sunday walk.

Meet at the big car park at the Haugh in Hawick at 10.40am prompt to walk to the bus stance on the A7 outside the RC Church (opposite the High School) to catch the 11:05 X95 bus to Newmill. NOTE: Buses are only every 2 hours.
